This garlic bread grilled cheese is crispy, cheesy, and full of flavour. An easy comfort food recipe you’ll want to make again and again.

If you love garlic bread and grilled cheese as much as I do, then this garlic bread grilled cheese is about to become your new obsession. It takes a classic grilled cheese sandwich and transforms it into the ultimate comfort food — buttery, crispy, garlicky, and loaded with melty cheese. Honestly, once you try this garlic bread grilled cheese sandwich, it’s impossible to go back to a plain one.
I first made this when I cooked my creamy chicken soup recipe and needed the perfect toastie to serve alongside it. A grilled cheese is always a must with soup, but I wanted a little extra flavour… so I whipped up a quick garlic butter for grilled cheese, spread it generously on my bread, and grilled it to golden perfection. WOW. Game-changer.
The best part? This garlic butter mixture is so versatile. You can use it to make other sandwiches too — recently I made a cheesy tuna toastie using the same grilled bread with cheese and garlic butter, and the flavour was incredible. Whether you’re looking for an easy lunch idea, a cosy soup pairing, or simply want to learn how to make garlic grilled cheese, this recipe is one you’ll make again and again.
