Ingredients

  • 2 Sourdough toast slices or any bread of your choice
  • Cheese I used mild cheddar cheese, but if you want your garlic bread grilled cheese extra cheesy, add a mix of different cheeses. I recommend grating it yourself — avoid pre-grated cheese. — use as much as you like!

For the garlic butter

  • 2 tsp Butter softened so it mixes and spreads easily
  • 1 Garlic clove minced
  • 1-2 tsp Fresh parsley chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste I recommend about a pinch of each

Instructions

  • Mix softened butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and chopped fresh parsley together in a small bowl.
  • Spread the garlic butter mixture onto one side of each slice of bread.
  • Grate your cheese (use as much as you’d like!).
  • Heat a pan over medium-low and melt a little butter.
  • Place one slice of bread in the pan, garlic-butter side down. Add your cheese on top, then place the second slice of bread over it, garlic-butter side up.
  • Cook for 2–5 minutes, or until the bottom is golden and crispy, then carefully flip and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is fully melted.
  • Serve immediately — it’s perfect with a creamy soup!
