Enjoy this quick, easy, and meal-prep-friendly crispy chicken Caesar salad recipe. Perfect for busy days, it’s customizable, delicious, and filling!

When life gets busy, quick and easy lunches are my go-to. Lunchtime often feels like the busiest part of my day, so I need meals that are not only fast to prepare but also filling and satisfying. That’s why I absolutely love recipes that check multiple boxes: easy, delicious, and meal-prep-friendly. This crispy chicken Caesar salad fits the bill perfectly.
It all started when I made my chicken Caesar pasta salad, which became an instant hit. Then, I became obsessed with my crispy chicken salad, a recipe that’s as simple as it is delicious. One day, I had an idea: why not combine the two? I decided to take the classic flavors of a Caesar salad, leave out the pasta, and add crispy, breaded chicken to make a breaded chicken Caesar salad. The result? A salad that’s crispy, creamy, and bursting with flavour!
This recipe is a total game-changer for busy weekdays, meal prepping, or even a light dinner. The best part is its versatility—you can tweak it to suit your preferences. Whether you want to skip the avocado, swap out the cheese, or turn it into a crispy chicken Caesar salad wrap, this salad can do it all.
It’s also kid-approved! My toddler loved it just as much as I did, which is always a win in my book. I’m confident this will become a go-to meal for your family too.

Crispy Chicken Caesar Salad Recipe
1. Prepare the Chicken and Crispy Bread
- Wash and clice the chicken breasts lengthwise into three thin pieces. Marinate with salt, black pepper, garlic granules, paprika, soy sauce, and olive oil.
- Beat one or two eggs in a wide bowl. In another bowl, add breadcrumbs.
- Coat each chicken piece in egg, then in breadcrumbs until fully covered.
- Heat a pan on medium-low, add butter or coconut oil, and fry the chicken until golden and fully cooked.
- Preheat your oven to 185°C (365°F). Cut bread (I used sourdough) into small cubes, drizzle with olive oil, and toss to coat evenly. Spread on a lined baking sheet and bake until crispy and golden, turning occasionally.
2. Make the Caesar Salad Dressing
In a food processor, blend mayo, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, Parmesan, fresh lemon juice, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
3. Assemble the Salad
- Chop the romaine lettuce and, if using, dice the avocado.
- Toss the lettuce and avocado with the Caesar dressing in a large bowl. Add the crispy bread cubes and mix gently.
- Shave cheese on top and mix lightly.
- Slice the chicken into strips and place on top of the salad.

How To Store The Salad
To keep your salad fresh and avoid sogginess:
- Store lettuce, dressing, chicken, and crispy bread separately.
- Lettuce can go in an airtight container, while dressing stays in a jar in the fridge.
- Bread cubes can be kept at room temperature in a zip-lock bag.
- Chicken should only be refrigerated when fully cooled. Assemble the salad when ready to eat.
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Meal Prep Friendly: Assemble components ahead of time for easy lunches.
- Customizable: Turn it into a wrap, grill the chicken instead of frying, or skip the avocado.
- Quick & Easy: Ideal for busy days when you need a filling, wholesome meal.
