Why You’ll Love This Healthy Energy Balls Recipe
Customisable:
This recipe is super versatile, so you can easily make it your own. Swap peanut butter for any nut butter you prefer, mix in your favourite nuts, or add extra seeds like flaxseeds or hemp seeds for an added nutrition boost.
Delicious:
These energy bites are seriously tasty—perfectly sweet, satisfying, and so addictive you’ll definitely want more than one!
Quick & Easy to Make:
No baking required! Simply mix the ingredients, roll into balls, and chill. It’s a fuss-free recipe that comes together in no time.
Freezer-Friendly:
These freeze really well. They don’t go icy—instead, they firm up, which helps them last longer. Just take them out of the freezer 3–5 minutes before eating, and they’ll soften perfectly. This recipe makes around 50 bites, so they’re great for meal prep and can last you weeks (they keep well in the freezer for up to 3 months).
Perfect On-the-Go Snack:
Ideal for busy days—pack them for the gym as a pre or post-workout snack, add them to your work lunch, or include them in your kids’ lunchboxes for a healthy, sweet treat.
How To Store
In the Fridge:
Store your energy bites in an airtight container or freezer bag in the fridge. They’ll stay fresh and ready to grab whenever you need a quick snack.
In the Freezer (Recommended):
For longer storage, the freezer is your best option. Place the energy bites on a plate and freeze for at least 20 minutes until they’ve firmed up slightly. This prevents them from sticking together.
Once firm, transfer them to a freezer bag. They’ll keep well in the freezer for up to 3 months. When you’re ready to eat, simply take out 1–2 bites and let them sit for a few minutes to soften—they’ll be perfect to enjoy!
