Living a healthy lifestyle involves different things, like eating nutritious food and taking care of your well-being. I know that the wellness world can be overwhelming, with so many products and advice out there. That’s why I made this guide to make it easier for you to find the essential items you need.
In this guide, I’ll cover a wide range of essentials for different aspects of a healthy lifestyle. We’ll start with kitchen gadgets that make it easier to cook healthy meals. You’ll discover the benefits of blenders for making nutritious smoothies, and the convenience of air fryers for enjoying delicious and healthier versions of your favorite foods.
I’ll also be sharing some of the fitness essentials that I love and recommend for anyone starting their fitness journey. When we are first starting out we always think we need so many things. And I am here to tell you that is not the case! You can even start off with absolutely nothing – which is exactly what I did.
And finally, I’ll also explore self-care and personal care essentials that help you take care of yourself. From skincare products that keep your skin healthy to tools that help you relax and reduce stress, I’ve picked items that contribute to your overall well-being.

1. Kitchen Gadgets For Healthy Eating
Air Fryer
If you are trying to cut down on your oil intake and enjoy the foods you love the healthier way, then an air fryer is a must-have! An air fryer offers a healthier alternative to traditional deep frying methods by using hot air circulation to cook food, requiring little to no oil. This means you can enjoy crispy and delicious foods with significantly less fat and calories compared to deep-fried versions.
Also, if you are someone with a busy lifestyle then an air fryer can cook food faster than traditional ovens, reducing cooking times. This will save you so much time, and won’t put you off cooking healthier meals because it takes half the time it does to cook in the oven!
Juicer
My juicer is definitely my number 1 favourite kitchen gadget that has taken my wellness journey to another level. I bought this to start my ginger shot journey to help boost my immune system and metabolism as well as improve my gut health. Below I have linked the recipes to give you an example of what a juicer could make you and the health benefits of these juices too!
Ginger Shot Bottles
If you are wanting to improve your gut health, boost your immune system and metabolism, and are ready to start your ginger shot journey, then these ginger shot bottles are so convenient! Not only can you store your ginger shots in these small bottles, but your detox juices too.
These bottles can also be put in your bag and taken anywhere! Whether you’re rushing to go to work or taking the kids out, you can pop a bottle in your bag and have your shots anytime, anywhere.
Meal Prep Essentials
These meal prep essentials will allow you to prepare and portion meals in advance, saving you valuable time during busy weekdays.
I don’t normally meal prep my lunch and dinners. But I do meal prep my healthy snacks and breakfasts such as chia puddings and overnight oats. And having a few meal prep containers and jars has made it so much easier for me! I have only linked what I believe is essential. Blender
If you’re not into juicing then you must own a blender/smoothie maker! Blenders are perfect for creating smoothies packed with fruits, vegetables, and other nutritious ingredients. Blending allows you to consume a wide range of vitamins, minerals, and fiber in an easily digestible form. Smoothies can be customized to suit your taste preferences and dietary needs, making them a convenient way to incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your diet.
2. Fitness Essentials For Active Living
Health Tracking Watch
My smart watch is something that motivates me so much! I love seeing how many calories I have lost during a workout and most importantly if I have met my 8-10k steps a day. This ensures I stay consistent with my small habits and goals for a healthier me.
I know some watches can be a little expensive, even though In my opinion they are worth every penny, but getting a watch to track your steps, calories, and your sleeping patterns can really help you stay consistent with healthy habits.
Yoga/Workout Mat
When I first started my health journey, I never had a workout mat and didn’t get one until I’d say 2-3 months later. It was the best thing I got! This was because it provides a cushioned and supportive surface for your exercises. It offers padding for your joints, making floor exercises more comfortable, and helps prevent discomfort or pain caused by direct contact with hard surfaces.
Small Weights
Although you do not need these right at the start, I found having a set of small weights can really enhance your workouts. After a few months of exercising, challenging your body with a bit of strength training has many health benefits. For example, increasing muscle strength and tone, improving bone density, boosting metabolism, and enhancing overall physical performance.
As this post is all about essentials, having one or two sets of small light weights is enough to kickstart your wellness journey, You do not need to be buying so many different equipment, especially heavy weights.
Ankle/Wrist Weights
WRIST/ANKLE WEIGHTS (bala dupes)
These ankle/wrist weights are another essential to take your workouts to another level. These have made my walks and workouts just so much better and more challenging. If you’re looking to buy weights but do not like traditional dumbbells, then ankle/wrist weights may just be for you!
The ones I have linked are so much more affordable than the Bala weights and do the exact same thing!
Workout Outfits
If you’re working out at home, you can really be working out in your pyjamas but having a few workout tops and leggings can really make a difference. This is because putting on workout attire can contribute to a positive mindset and motivate you to engage in exercise.
The act of changing into workout clothes signals a mental shift towards exercise, helping you mentally prepare and get into the right mindset for your workout. Stylish and well-fitting workout outfits can make you feel confident and ready to tackle your fitness routine.

Looking after your mental well-being is essential and something that tends to be forgotten when people start their wellness journey. Looking after your mental well-being can be as simple as taking time to do your skincare, reading a book, or going out for walks. So I wanted to share some of my favourite self-care and personal care essentials for you to add to your wellness collection!

Reading has been shown to reduce stress levels and promote relaxation. Immersing yourself in a good book can provide an escape from daily worries and help calm your mind. It can be a form of mental self-care, allowing you to unwind and de-stress after a long day.
You can be reading any book you want, but if you are looking for a book that will help you in your wellness journey then Atomic Habits is the one for you! This book will show you how to get rid of bad habits and stick to good healthy habits. For example, if you struggle to stay consistent with working out, the tips the book shares will help you significantly.
Comfy PJs
Adding cute and comfy PJs to my evening routine has really helped with my mental well-being. I know that may sound a little weird and you’re probably wondering why.
Wearing cute and comfy pyjamas can contribute to a positive mindset and boost your mood. Feeling comfortable and confident in your sleepwear can enhance your overall sense of well-being and self-esteem. It’s a small act of self-care that can uplift your spirits and make you feel good about yourself.
Also, changing into cozy sleepwear can help signal to your body and mind that it’s time to unwind and prepare for rest. Soft, breathable fabrics and loose-fitting designs can enhance comfort and promote a good night’s sleep.
Reusable Water Bottle
Staying hydrated is crucial for overall well-being and maintaining optimal bodily functions. Having a reusable water bottle with you encourages regular water intake throughout the day. It serves as a reminder to drink water and helps you establish a healthy hydration routine.
