One thing a lot of us enjoy is going make-up-free in the summer and flaunting our glowing skin. Achieving glowing skin is not just about having the right skincare routine and the right products but also about how you treat your body from the inside.
How many of you spend so much money on products just to help clear your skin and get that healthy glow? Many of us forget that the only way we can achieve healthy skin is by looking after our bodies from within such as our gut health. If you have poor gut health it will show on your skin. This is why I wanted to make this blog post more about how to make your skin glow naturally from within and not just recommend good products.
This is the best time to start preparing your skin for that natural summer glow. So I wanted to share with you 7 tips to help you get healthy glowing skin that I have been loving myself.
A reminder, even if you really look after your skin, it will not always be clear. We go through stress and a change of hormones all the time which affects our skin. But looking after your body from within will really help keep it looking healthy even during the “bad” skin days.

1. Have A Healthy Diet For Glowing Skin
Your skincare routine should not only include good products, but also a healthy diet. Healthy eating helps you have healthy skin all year round, not just during summer. Add antioxidants and water-rich fruits and vegetables to your diet such as spinach, beetroots, berries, and watermelon. These are packed with antioxidants that will help with collagen production, reduce inflammation and protect your skin from UV damage. Examples of how you can add these antioxidant foods to your diet are:- add beetroot and spinach to your salad

2. Stay Hydrated
Keeping yourself hydrated will help you get healthy glowing skin. This will help to flush out all the toxins your body carries which will give you clear and healthy skin. Also, I find that when I am hydrated, my skin is hydrated and what better way to have healthy skin than to have hydrated skin? One thing that helps me stay hydrated is having a cute water bottle to carry with me everywhere I go! Motivational bottles can also be really good to keep you on track. 3. Focus On Gut Health

4. Priotise Exercise
I know the heat can put you off working out, and all you want to do is sip on your iced tea and just relax. But did you know exercise can help you get healthy glowing skin? This is because exercise helps increase blood flow to the skin. So find a type of exercise you will enjoy doing in order to stay consistent and make it part of your lifestyle. 5. Take Cooler Showers
I think we all do this in the summer but start now. I know it can be hard especially as the weather is still a little cold, but the water does not need to be cold, just cool enough! Hot water can prevent you from having healthy glowing skin because it dries out the skin, irritates it, and can cause you to break out.6. Don’t Forget Your Sunscreen
I wanted to leave the skin products last because I truly believe that in order to have healthy skin you need to be healthy. But ensuring that you apply sunscreen even on cloudy days is also key to having healthy glowing skin ready for summer. Invest in good sunscreen to protect your skin as excessive UV exposure can cause permanent damage to your skin, such as premature aging, skin cancer, sunburn, and overall dullness.
