When I began working full-time, sticking to a regular workout routine became a real challenge. Some weeks, I managed to hit the gym 4-5 times, while others, I barely made it once before eventually stopping altogether. Then, life got even busier after welcoming my little girl.

The plan contains at home workout routine without equipment and some with equipment. Workout Routine For Women
Why This Is The Best Workout Routine For Women With Busy Schedules:
I understand that it can be really hard to stick to a workout routine/plan with a busy schedule. But this is why I created this 30-day workout routine that I personally do and have been able to stick with. So here are reasons why this is the best workout routine for women with busy schedules:
- Time-Efficient: With workouts ranging from 10 to 30 minutes, it fits perfectly into your busy schedule. We all have 10-30 minutes to spare – just check your screen time and you’ll see.
- Convenience: This is an at-home workout routine so there is no need to travel to the gym which means more time saved for other priorities in your day.
- Sustainable: As these short workouts are manageable, it increases the likelihood of sticking to your fitness routine over time.
- Results-Oriented: You don’t need to spend hours exercising to see significant progress. Just 10-30 minutes, 5 times a week, can help you get the results you want. Because its consistency that leads to results not duration.
- Variety: Enjoy a mix of exercises designed to keep you engaged and motivated throughout the 30 days. I have added two of my favourite fitness youtubers!
- Minimal Equipment: No need for expensive gym memberships or bulky equipment—these workouts can be done with minimal to no equipment.
Nutrition Tips To Help Optimise Results
Achieving your health and fitness goals isn’t solely about the duration or intensity of your workouts. In fact, it’s a combination of various factors, with exercise accounting for only 10%, while nutrition takes up a significant 50%, and emotional well-being, including stress management and mental health care, makes up the remaining 40%. That’s why I’m here to share some simple yet effective nutritional tips to complement your workout routine and ensure you attain the best results possible.
- Hydration Tips: Keeping your body well-hydrated is crucial, especially during exercise. Remember to sip water throughout the day. Even after your workouts, it’s essential to replenish your body’s fluids. If you struggle to meet your daily water intake, check out my tried-and-tested strategies in this blog post HERE for some helpful tips.
- Balanced Meals: A balanced diet is key to providing your body with essential nutrients. Ensure your meals include a mix of carbohydrates, proteins, and healthy fats to fuel your workouts effectively. Carbs provide the energy needed for exercise, protein supports muscle repair and growth, while healthy fats are vital for overall health and hormone production.
- Meal Prepping: Simplify your busy schedule with meal prepping. Plan and prepare meals in advance by cooking larger batches of protein and vegetables, making it convenient to assemble nutritious meals throughout the week. Alternatively, you can also meal prep by preparing ingredients such as marinating meats and storing them in freezer bags for easy cooking later.
- Limit Processed Foods: Adopt the 80/20 rule to strike a balance between healthy eating and occasional indulgence. By reducing your intake of processed foods, such as those high in refined sugars and unhealthy fats, you’ll pave the way for better overall health and well-being.

Importance Of Rest And Self Care
Self-care and rest are essential components of a successful fitness journey, benefiting both physical recovery and mental well-being. As mentioned earlier, 40% of achieving our desired body comes from managing emotions like stress. Here’s why incorporating rest days and self-care practices is crucial for your fitness journey:
- Mental Health: Prioritizing your mental health is vital for overall well-being. While exercise can help manage stress and boost mood, neglecting rest and self-care can actually increase stress levels. Take at least 1-2 rest days to ensure you’re effectively managing your mental well-being. Engage in self-care activities such as deep breathing exercises, spending time in nature, or indulging in activities that bring you joy and happiness.
- Emotional Well-being: Emotions play a significant role in our motivation and consistency in achieving fitness goals. Managing these emotions effectively is crucial. Consider incorporating self-care activities to promote emotional balance, such as gratitude journaling or spending quality time with loved ones. These practices can help maintain a positive mindset and keep you on track with your fitness routine.
- Balancing Intensity and Rest: While pushing yourself during workouts is important, it’s equally essential to listen to your body and recognize when rest is necessary. Overtraining can lead to fatigue, decreased performance, and an increased risk of injury, which can significantly put you off from working out. By tuning in to your body’s signals, you can determine whether complete rest or a gentle workout is needed, ensuring you’re doing what’s best for you.

Full Body Workout Routine For Women: Warm Up And Cool Down Routine
Ensuring a proper full-body warm-up before and a cool-down after your workout is essential. While most of the workouts I’ve included in this routine already incorporate these, totaling 30 minutes, it’s crucial to remember to include them if not provided in the videos. I’ve outlined the importance of both warm-up and cool-down sessions and provided links to reference videos in case they’re missing from the ‘workout routine for women’ calendar.
Why Warm-up Matters:
- Increased Blood Flow: Elevates your heart rate, promoting better blood circulation to your muscles.
- Improved Muscle Flexibility: Enhances flexibility, reducing the risk of injuries and enhancing your range of motion.
- Mental Preparation: Helps shift your focus to the upcoming exercise, improving concentration.
- Injury Prevention: Proper warm-up reduces the likelihood of painful injuries such as muscle strains or sprains.
- Gradual Intensity Increase: Prepares your body gradually, preventing sudden spikes in blood pressure.
Why Cool-down Matters:
- Promotion of Recovery: Assists in easing your body back to its pre-exercise state, preventing dizziness and post-exercise fatigue.
- Removal of Waste Products: Aids in flushing out waste products like lactic acid, reducing muscle soreness.
- Muscle Relaxation: Prevents stiffness and gradually enhances overall flexibility.
- Lowering Heart Rate Gradually: Reduces stress on the cardiovascular system, preventing dizziness or fainting.
- Mental Relaxation: Helps alleviate stress and fosters a positive attitude towards exercise.
