Equipment

  • 1 Donut tray (6 count pan)
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Freezer bag for piping (this is optional, you can use a tablespoon, but the bag makes the process so much easier)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup oat flour
  • 1/2 cup organic coconut sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp pure organic maple syrup (or vanilla extract)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp himalayan pink salt (or sea salt)
  • 3 tbsp organic coconut oil (melted and cooled)

For the topping (optional - you can add any toppings you want)

  • 1 1/2 tbsp smooth Biscoff spread (melted)
  • 2 Biscoff biscuits crushed

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 175C and lightly grease the donut tray.
  • Add the coconut sugar, egg, coconut oil, milk, and maple syrup in a large bowl. Whisk until it is well combined.
  • Then whisk in the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Add the freezer bag inside a cup to keep the bag still, and pour the batter into the bag. Then cut a small slit in the corner. Pipe the batter into the donut tray. May sure you do not over-fill the holes. It needs to be just a little under the flat base.
  • Place in the oven and cook for 15 minutes. You can check with a skewer if it has been cooked after 12 minutes (if the skewer comes out dry then it is cooked) but I found that after 15 minutes it was perfect.
  • Once cooked, let them cool and deep into your melted Biscoff spread and decorate with the crushed biscuits.
  • Place in the fridge for 10-20 minutes and enjoy!
