As the weather is getting colder, some of the shoes we have been wearing in autumn just aren’t right for these cold days. For example, loafers or flat shoes even if they’re too cute to let go. I know some people still like to wear their flats even in the winter but if you are trying to stay warm this winter then that wouldn’t be the right choice! Especially on rainy days! You would not believe how many women I have seen wearing flats in the rain!
Yes, I know some women wear their flats to work because it looks smarter with their smart office outfits. But if that is you, you need some winter footwear which you can wear outside to protect you from the cold/rain and then of course you can swap them once you get into your workplace.
So, I wanted to gather and share some women’s winter footwear which you need to get you through the winter.
This post is all about winter footwear every woman should own!
Winter Footwear

Best Winter Footwear You Need
1. Wellies

These are essential in my opinion. They can look super cute with a casual outfit and keep your feet protected on those heavy rainy days! Perfect for rainy day walks. You can even wear them to work to keep your feet protected (especially if you walk to work) and then you can swap and wear your flats once you get to work.
I love wearing these when I take my daughter out to the park after it has finished raining. Even if the rain has stopped, the park tends to be very muddy! So whether you are going on a rainy walk, taking your children out to the park or walking to work, wellington boots will be your go-to.
2. Ankle Boots

There is a range of ankle boots to choose from, from chunky ankle boots to Chelsea boots. Different styles of ankle boots will go with different styles of winter outfits. For a more smart casual look, Chelsea boots are perfect. And for a casual laid back outfit, combat boots are my go-to. So having at least two different styles is perfect to go with different winter outfits.
3. Knee High Boots

Knee-high boots are perfect if you have a midi dress/skirt and need that extra coverage for a modest look! They keep you warm, looking stylish and covered too for a completely modest winter outfit. I have linked different styles of knee-high boots for you to choose from.
Knee-high-heeled boots are perfect to wear with a midi pleated skirt, jumper and coat for a winter date night or outing to the city. And chunky knee-high boots, which are back in trend this year, are perfect for casual winter outfits such as rib knit midi dresses!
4. Trainers

As the UK weather is so unpredictable, having trainers is a safe bet. Perfect for the non-rainy cold days when you need to go for a walk or run errands.
Chunky trainers are so warm! I have always been a converse and flat trainers kinda girl but when I purchased my first ever chunky trainers about two months ago I fell in love! They have been keeping my feet so warm (unlike my Converses) and they are super comfortable too.
I have linked different styles of trainers that you can choose from! One of my favourite ways to wear trainers in the winter for a modest look is with my loungewear and a puffy jacket/coat. See the pictures below for some inspiration!
