Room Types And Amenities
The Steigenberger Hotel offers a variety of room types to suit different needs, from standard rooms to deluxe, junior suites, and family rooms. Trust me, the rooms are huge and incredibly luxurious! The large, comfortable beds were a highlight, along with impeccable cleanliness.
The front desk was also open 24 hours, making it convenient for any late-night requests. The daily room service ensured we always returned to a spotless space, as the staff changed our bed sheets and thoroughly cleaned the room whenever we set the “clean service” sign.
Our experience was outstanding. The room was spacious, which was especially important as we were traveling with a toddler. There was ample storage space for our suitcases and clothes, which helped us stay organized throughout our trip. No more messy hotel rooms!
A unique touch that made our stay even more special was finding a Qibla sign on the ceiling, along with a prayer mat and a Quran in the cupboard. As Muslims, this thoughtful gesture really made us feel at home.
Facilities And Services
Dining Options
The hotel has five restaurants, but we mostly dined at the buffet restaurant included in our package. We added breakfast and dinner to our package, and the quality was consistently excellent. The breakfast, available from 6:30 to 10 AM, was a highlight of our stay, as the food quality was a 10/10. I highly recommend booking your stay with breakfast included for a hassle-free morning meal.
Leisure Facilities
Steigenberger Hotel has several leisure facilities, including a pool, gym, and spa services. We didn’t get a chance to swim due to our packed itinerary, but we checked out the pool area, and it was both clean and aesthetically pleasing.
The gym was another favourite spot of mine. I visited twice during our stay and was impressed with how well-maintained and tidy it was, with all equipment neatly put away. The gym had everything you could need for a solid workout.

Pros & Cons
I want to be completely transparent with you about this hotel! Overall, Steignerberger hotel exceeded our expectations but here are some of the pros and cons to help you make a decision about whether this hotel is for you.
Pros:
- Spacious, luxurious rooms with plenty of storage space
- Super clean and well-maintained gym, rooms, and restaurant
- Delicious breakfast options
- 24-hour front desk service for any needs or requests
Cons:
- The temperature control light was always on, which affected my sleep. We had to get it covered by staff on the third day of our stay. This may not affect everyone but it definitely affected me as I need complete darkness.
- The dinner buffet became repetitive after a few days, with limited new options
- The pillows were not very comfortable for us, though they did provide larger ones upon request which were better than the ones that were originally on the bed
Nearby Attractions
The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to explore Doha, which is why it makes this hotel one of the best areas to stay in Doha Qatar. It’s close to popular attractions like Souq Waqif and the Doha Corniche, perfect for an evening stroll. The National Museum of Qatar is just a 10-minute drive away, and taxis are very affordable (download the app TaxiF), costing around £1-£2. Additionally, the hotel is about 15 minutes from Hamad International Airport, making transfers quick and convenient.
