Date bark made with peanut butter and chocolate for a delicious, healthier treat. Easy to make and tastes just like a Snickers bar!

I absolutely love any recipe that includes dates—you can probably tell by the number of date-based recipes on my blog! One of my all-time favorites is date bark, and my cashew butter date bark was such a hit that it disappeared in just two days. Another version that has been going viral is peanut butter chocolate date bark, often called “Snickers date bark” because it tastes just like a Snickers bar!
I was kindly gifted a few products from Holland & Barrett—one of my favorite wellness stores—and they had everything I needed to make the perfect Snickers date bark. Of course, I had to try it! Their new Crisp ‘N Crunch peanut butter adds an amazing crunch, making this date bark even more delicious.
I hope you love this recipe as much as we did! Your feedback means so much, so don’t forget to leave a rating and a comment below. And if you share it on Instagram, be sure to tag me @lotsoflovemariam —I’d love to see your recreations!

Best Snickers Date Bark
Ingredients Needed To Make This Date Bark
- Dates (soft ones recommended)
- Nut butter (peanut butter for a Snickers-like taste or any nut butter of choice)
- Chocolate (milk or dark)
- Haskap powder (optional)
- Coconut oil (optional)

How To Make The Best Date Bark
- Remove the pits from the dates and line a plate or tray with non-stick baking paper. Arrange the dates closely together to form a square or rectangular shape.
- Place a small piece of non-stick baking paper on top of the dates, then use the bottom of a glass to flatten them—this prevents sticking and helps create an even layer.

- Spread a generous layer of peanut butter over the flattened dates, ensuring they’re fully covered. Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 15-20 second intervals, stirring in between, then pour it evenly over the peanut butter layer.

- If using haskap powder, sprinkle it on top, then transfer the tray to the freezer for about 30 minutes or until the chocolate has fully hardened.
- Once set, cut into bars or squares and enjoy!

How To Store Your Date Bark
Store the bars in a container, layering them with non-stick baking paper to prevent sticking. Keep them in the fridge to stop the chocolate from melting—they’ll stay fresh for up to two weeks!
