I hate the idea of being on a diet as I never stick to them, so I made a decision a couple of months ago to make healthier food choices but still have my takeouts once a week so I enjoy eating healthy during the week. Since I have been trying to improve what I eat to support my mental and physical health, one of my favourite healthy breakfasts is overnight oats. And of course Weetabix!
Overnight oats are so quick and easy to make and you can change up the flavour by adding different toppings. So you can have overnight oats every day if you want to but have different toppings and flavouring.
As a busy mum, and a very tired one too, I realised that making overnight oats the night before just didn’t work for me as in the evening I was too tired to make anything. Also, some evenings I would forget to make it (mum brain). But I discovered that you do not need to make it overnight, even though it’s called overnight oats! You can make it on the day and leave it in the fridge for 30 minutes. This recipe works whether you decide to do it overnight or not.
This overnight oat is an easy chocolate overnight oats recipe, however, if you decide you want to change it up and add a different flavour and toppings then you can do that by swapping the ingredients! Some very popular flavours are lotus biscoff or peanut butter (these two are so good too!)
This post is all about the easiest 30-minute chocolate overnight oats recipe.

Five days! So if you are a busy person, whether you work or are a busy stay-at-home mum, then you can make overnight oats for the week and not have to worry about making breakfast in the morning. Overnight oats are a perfect breakfast idea to add to your meal preps!
Easy Chocolate Overnight Oats Recipe
Ingredients:
- ½ cup rolled oats
- ½ cup milk of choice (I use almond milk)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 tsp Nutella
- Blueberries
- Banana
- Roasted coconut flakes

Method
- Add rolled oats and chia seeds in a bowl/jar (I prefer a bowl so I can mix easily and then pour into a cup or jar)
- Pour in the milk
- Add Nutella
- Mix it all
- Cover the cup or jar and place in the fridge for 30 minutes (or overnight )
- Finally add the toppings (this can be done before you put it in the fridge but I prefer to do it after the oats are ready so it stays at the top)
