Ingredients Needed
- Medjool Dates: Medjool dates are naturally sweet, contributing a rich, caramel-like sweetness to this Snickers stuffed date recipe. Their natural sweetness complements the chocolate and nut butter, creating a well-balanced and delicious treat without the need for excessive added sugars.
- Nut Butter: Any nut butter of your choice would go well with this recipe – Peanut, almond or cashew butter goes so well with Medjool dates! Just make sure the butter is 100% with no additives.
- Nut: I used walnuts for this recipe but you can use any nut of your choice for example, hazelnuts, cashews, peanuts, or almonds.
- Dark Chocolate: This will be used to drizzle on top of the dates
How To Make Snickers Stuffed Dates
- Take your Medjool dates, make a gentle slit in the middle (not all the way through), and remove the pit.
- Spoon in 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of nut butter into each date, depending on how nutty you want them.
- Give your nuts a quick chop and sprinkle them on top of the nut butter.
- In a saucepan or microwave, melt your chocolate and drizzle it over the dates using a spoon.
- Pop the dates in the fridge for around 5 minutes or until the chocolate has hardened.
- Enjoy!
Storage Instructions
Keep your Snickers stuffed dates fresh and prevent them from getting too soft or the chocolate from melting by storing them in an airtight container in the fridge. You can savor these delicious treats for up to a week in the fridge (that is if they last that long wink emoji).
